Is it the micro sprite?

That's what DS1 has. Folds down easily and is super quality. Not rattly and folds up well. A killer on the shins if it clips you though!

The maxi micro is super too, but less easy to fold down. If you're worried about them mastering the balance of the two wheeler this might be better.

My kids have a maxi micro each they don't fold but you can take the handle off so it's easier to store/transport. I find that the kids have to put less effort into these than a 2 wheeler.

Dd1 had a maxi micro scooter after the mini, it was a 5th birthday present but was declared babyish as had three wheels. So it was sold on eBay and a sprite was brought. She loves it. It's pink and has two wheels.
It's easier than the maxi as it folds for storage. We have the bag for it so no muddy wheels in the boot of the car.

DS had the sprite for his 5th birthday (having previously had the mini micro). There was a bit of a learning curve while he got used to two wheels, but once he mastered it he was just as fast (if not faster) than before!

I like the quality, it's nice and sturdy.

Cripes, the maxi's are expensive though ay? I'm sure DD would like the three-wheeler, but you can never be sure! Do they hold their value well on eBay, should I need the option?

The maxi is dear but, ime of other people's children's, indestructible. I think they hold their value?

I bought DS1 (6) a maxi off ebay for £50/60 (can't exactly remember), so yes they hold their value. He loves his and absolutely did not want a 2-wheeler (he tried one I had in the loft waiting).

I would definitely say to get one, though I found the new price too painful!

The maxi's are brilliant - we've found them to be much more stable than normal 2 wheelers.
The prices they go for on eBay are ridiculous - second hand they are going for more than £85 when you can buy them new for about £90!

We recently bought them for our 3YO triplets as the Maxi on its lowest setting is the same height as the Mini! It makes sense, money wise, to miss out the 'mini' stage and go straight to the Maxi :)

How long did it take your ds to get used to the sprite rhinestone? i'm thinking about getting dd (5) one, and passing down her micro to her younger brother.

Noqontrol it took a couple of weeks. He did manage to fall off it early on and his pride was a bit wounded - wouldn't get back on for a while.

Thanks Rhinestone. I think I'll give it a go, hopefully it will last a bit longer.
