Does anyone know where I can get Christmas tree lights in a line and not in a stupid loop that makes it impossible to arrange them on tree nicely? If I don't get some now then I know I'll forget about it till I'm crying with frustration again next year!

I think ones I got from Wilkinsons were in a line rather than a loop.

argh they're bloody stupid aren't they?

my OLD ones that I have lost were just in a string. had to go out and get new ones this year as I cna't find the others anywhere... new ones are a bloody loop

i have no idea how you can make them go round the tree

Not that it helps, really, but I think that more and more lights are wired on a loop as they are wired in parallel, so if one bulb goes the rest stay lit. My kids have lights in a string on their tree and I've had to take their lights off twice this year to find the loose/faulty bulb as the whole lot don't work when one goes when they are wired in series.

hmm so maybe LED lights will still be on a string then?

Thanks everyone. Will have a look at LED ones. And then forget about it till next year!
