Grrr, waiting for a parcel, sent next day delivery monday am, arrived 4 miles away early tues am, loaded on to van tues am, it spent all day tues having a tour of the area while I waited in with 6,4 and 2yr old. It was loaded onto a van early this morning (presumably at some point had been unloaded from previous daytrip), and spent another day seeing the sights, and still isn't here!

Also waiting for a dvd to arrive which was a panic buy when dd2 announced that she had to give dd1 a certain film, I had already bought it for dd2, so then had to get a replacement dvd, so they each get one dvd from us. Just hope they all get here. Anyone else joining me in delivery pantomine - 'it will be delivered tomorrow, oh no it's not....-

Can I add a City-Link rant?? They tried to deliver DHs present last Thursday but I was at work. I then went on the website to get it redelivered today as it the first day I have off work before Christmas. I have loads of things to do but waited in all day. At 6.30 I checked the website and it said 'reschedule accepted' at 9.30 this morning and is now going to be delivered tomorrow. I presume they were overbooked but surely they should have rung or something?? Apart from the fact I am not wasting another whole day day waiting in I have commitments which mean I will be out most of the day anyway. I rang to tell them to leave it at the depot (which is a half hour drive away) as I will collect it and was told 'they would leave a note for the driver to take it off the van'.

Why do I not feel reassured by that?????? I have already pre-warned DH that he may not actually be getting a present on Christmas Day???

I feel your pain. I paid £9 for 48hr delivery last Thursday for my dad's present and found out at 5:10 this evening they have not sent it. The man from UK WILDLIFE CAMERAS avoid, avoid then tried to tell me it hasn't been sent because paypal withheld my payment. Which I didn't believe for a second but I checked with paypal and they paid out 10am Thursday. Why lie to me??? Am gutted and back to the drawing board and my dad is virtually impossible to buy for.

I tracked ds's bike on Parcelforce = apparently they couldn't find our address. Funny that they already delivered something else to us from the same depot last week. Due last Friday - luckily arrived today after some prodding.

Another big BOO to Shitty-Link from me, i have been waiting for a DVD I ordered from Amazon on SUNDAY for my toddler. I paid £8 P&P for next-day delivery and it's still not here 3 days later. Tracking info says it's scheduled for delivery YESTERDAY morning!?!? Amazon have sent a replacement out today via Royal Mail and tell me I will receive it time for Christmas....

I have had a few other bits delivered by a company called DPD (whoever they are?) and all of these have come on time/early.

Here's a message to my parcel - I see that you have been loaded again, I hope you aren't getting too battered or lonely, one day you will have a home with some little girls who will love you, meanwhile, relax and enjoy the sights, oh and the company have now refunded the original extra premium, still no word from parcelfarce, too busy planning today's magical mystery tour for you!

I bought some bits from ELC that said 'in stock', only to get a note with half the order to say they would arrive in 1-4 weeks.

I'd even rung to check and was told it was all in packing.

Great.

As predicted checked tracker on City Link and my parcel has been loaded on the van for delivery today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggghhh!

It's unlikely we'll be in today as per my call to them last night. I am so angry. I can go and get it tomorrow form the depot but from previous experience they will forget to off load it but won't try to redeliver so I will be stuck in limbo....

FWIW ladies, good luck. As a company that send stuff, out of all the couriers, as of yesterday only UPS are telling us they can guarantee by Christmas. I think everyone is gutted this year they can't blame the snow, but have taken on more than they can chew.
