Second the multi-knife tool thing, got DP one last year and he is bloody welded to it. Amazon have Victorinox (best make, apparently) quite reasonably priced.

Also:

Pyjamas
Car bits (ice scraper, air freshener)
Bottles of beer/ale with funny names (Old Peculiar, etc)
Magazine/LoveFilm subscription
Cook book

Chamois leather
Handkerchiefs
iTunes voucher
(If he commutes) One of those cup-sized thermal flasks from Halfords for when he's running late and hasn't got time to finish his tea at home. They cost about £8 and DP loved his.

Boots are doing fab gadgety man-type stocking fillers and they are on the 3 for 2. Got a multi-tool thingy a wallet and a wind up radio. I get the points to spend on me in the sales.

Nice hot chocolate powder (whittards?), mini marshmallows and squirty cream.

A book - Top Gear alternative highway code is going in dh's stocking this year. Or a joke book, as another option.

Now Thats What I Call Music - from his youth - bring back old memories.

I got DH a mobile phone rest/tidy - hard to explain but you coil the lead round it, plug into the wall and the phone rests on a little shelf. More for my own sanity because I'm fed up of his trailing wires across stuff on the kitchen counters.

I don't do him a stocking any more because he used to be a bit non-plussed at getting one from me, pre-DC (and where's the fun in that?) but I used to include a book light (he invariably trod on them), hankies, socks and boxers, a jar of something tasty, chocolate, and maybe a book of handmade 'vouchers' (I will cook you your favourite dish, I will let you bugger off to the pub after work, I will wear those pants, etc). Not sure I could get away with that now, nor would the DSs understand why daddy was getting a stocking.

WTF is a reverse Polish calculator and where can I get one?

DH has a jumper, chocolates, old fashioned sweets in a tin, a book, a wash mitt thing, face cream, hand cream, socks. Nothing exciting.

WTF is a reverse Polish calculator and where can I get one?

Its where you have to enter 4-2 as something like 4+2-, isn't it? You get them in the dim and distant past - were there any other than the very first Sinclair?

My DH doesn't wear stockings but if he did he'd fill them perfectly...
