mice smell real bad, think its the males that smell [but not to sure if th girls do too], know someone who had them and you smelt them when you walked in, the same with rats. my dd has a girl hamster shes very friendly, i got the member of staff to handle them to see which one was really friendly, i am not risking my fingers Xmas Grin, this one will be her 3rd, we had a girl to begin with very friendly, then a boy, nasty little bugger, and now a girl again, very friendly, so working off that i have found girls friendly [whispers i got ours from pets at home, they were very helpful]
