Xmas cards

Just taken the DC to buy family Xmas cards and hit a massive dilemma - wwyd??

FIL is dying. He's in hospital after a massive stroke and there's nothing they can do beyond keeping him pain free and comfortable. He may survive to Xmas but I'd be surprised.

So do I send an Xmas card from the DC to grandma & grandad? Or just grandma? Or do I forget about a card? FIL is past caring, but I don't want to upset MIL or have to explain to much to the DCs

I would send a "sober" one to them both, and get the DC to write something special in it (or you hold the pen for DC to sign if they're too young to write the whole thing). Your FiL is here now and will, even if he has gone by Christmas, still be very much part of the family and in your minds and hearts, regardless of his physical presence...
