Or one of those balance ball things? Or a space hopper?
Need to spend about £30 on Dn who we never see and know nothing about...Sad

My DH came back with a pogo stick each for my 2 DDs last summer when they were on offer for a quid. They loved them.

When DD2's Mum came around one day to collect her DD who'd been playing with mine, she brought her 8 year old lad. He LOVED the pogo stick and played with it outside the house for ages. Was hilarious!

Good tip is to make sure that you have a clear area of wall where they can practice bouncing (preferably inside) so that have help staying upright and only have to worry about balancing from side to side, then go from there when they have mastered that.

yes but his parents probably wont! its more a summer time toy imho...it would do my nut in my kid bouncing round the house on one of those things on Christmas day. (too cold & icy to play outside )
Great for summer though ...bahhh humbug Xmas Grin

Hmm. Wouldn't worry about the summer/winter thing as his mother usually gives the dds M& S reduced in the sale garden toys for Christmas they are quite an outdoorsy type of family

I thought of badminton type stuff but then as he's an only child be a bit odd..

I have suggested lego before but I think my SIL doesn't like the idea of tidying it up apparently he's not interested Confused

Difficult family situation but don't want to take it out on DN IYSWIM

I could imagine DS liking a pogo stick. Can just see him bouncing around on one (and seeing as hr doesn't seem to feel the cold I eitkc probably just send him outside with it Grin)

my kids (8 & 11) love the huge space hoppers, very easy to use and fall off bounce into each other

with some models, you have to have a bit of weight to make them work.

DD is quite big and tall, and she could only just bounce a bit on hers which she got for her 9th birthday. It hardly comes out now, but we don't have a very good garden for it.

A smaller child who weighs less might like this
