Christmas

Has anyone else, like me, done exactly the same thing every Christmas their entire lives?

This year will be my 41st with my parents. Never done anything else. I quite like it.. Dh has no complaints as his parents are divorced, abroad and he's not that close to them anyway. My mum loves doing Christmas, it's her thing.

But I do wonder sometimes whether we should do something different, go crazy and do a house swap like Kate Winslet in that film.... Though I'm pretty sure I wouldn't end up with a Hollywood mansion worse luck.

I have always spent Christmas at my parent's house. It just wouldn't be Christmas otherwise. I dread the day when it's too much for them to host us all (me and DH and my sister and up to 8 grandchildren and now a fiancee) I would hate to do anything else.

Pom... Me too. My parents are supposed to be selling their house in the summer and downsizing which would mean something different next year. Our place would be ok though as we don't have a dining room God knows where we'd eat, the kitchen I suppose. Surrounded by a stack of dirty pans.
