Make Festive Bloody Vodka they said...

It's easy, and cheap, and fun, and festive they said...
I am COVERED in little teeny bits of boiled sweeties, my hands hurt, my head aches, my neighbours have taken out a hit on me, my kitchen - ALL my kitchen, walls, floors, ceiling - is plastered in little bitty red and yellow sticky bits, and all I have to show for it is a dead rolling pin, a broken "indestructible" bowl, and a bottle with a weeny puddle of vodka and the final remains of nine rhubarb and custards in it. The buggers would not only not smash up, they bloody well fought back and it was like something out of a horror film as I bludgeoned them into submission (sort of). I think I may just drink my vodka, well, vodka flavoured from now on. Would anyone like a pear drop?

I can only imagine the scene at your house Shock

I am going to try the skittle variety after winning a 1L bottle at a raffle yesterday, and i'm hoping i do not have the same luck as you!!! Grin

DH came home from work and viewed the scene with a Hmm then politely enquired what happened through tears of laughter and he has been the instrument of my venegeance upon them Grin He put them in a bag, put them on the floor and twatted them to powder in about 20 seconds flat Grin
Later I might try doing the pear drop one (or we might just drink the rest of the vodka, jury's out atm)

I'd be inclined to get out the glasses and help myself to the vodka for the rest of the day, or maybe just swig it from the bottle to settle the nerves, before the clean-up operation commences!!! Grin

Similar thing happened to me recently - my vodka now brews in jam jars - don't have to do any chopping then.

I put my rhubarb and custartd in whole. They 'melted' into a syrupy lump ater a day or tow. The lump is getting smaller by the day.

I wrapped mine then beat them with a huge mallet in the garden.

They wouldn't fit down the neck of the bottles whole - I did try that first Grin I have sworn that if I ever do this again, I want wide necked vessels of some kind to put it in. I had to spoon the little bits into the narrow neck of the bottle which was just the icing on the cake so to speak Confused.
