I am giving my mother , mil and aunt a hamper each. They are in their mid to late 70's and really have all that they need/want, so they tell me.
So far I have nice hand cream, photo of dd's, chocolates, smelly pot pouri(sic) thing in fancy bowl. Now stumped as to what esle to put in. Just looking for 1 or 2 small cheap things to add.
Fathers have nice wax wrapped cheese, crackers, fancy chutney, wine and chocolates in theirs.
Grannies/aunt dont drink. Any ideas?

How about some nice padded hangers? You could buy a pack of 4 or 6 in TK Maxx and split them?

Also agree with the stationery idea.

WHen i've done this i've just looked at the hampers you can order online and copied their ideas but with cheaper and more "cupboard friendly" food stuff
(so many hampers have this one off type stuff that ends up at the back of the cupboard for 5 years!).

Thanks for the ideas. I have wrapped the dads already so cant combine, like the other ideas. I always forget about TK Maxx and when I do go always get what I'm looking for.

Some nice jam, fluffy bedsocks, hot water bottle, some fancy hot chocolate/tea/coffee, a nice mug or cup and saucer?
