Hi all

We have a DS who will be 3 and a half months old at Christmas. I'd like to do a stocking for him - what would you put in it?

Thanks!

Um.

Um.

Um.

Nappies.

Baby Wipes.

Socks.

Sippy cup.

Weaning spoons (for when he's old enough!).

Basically, anything you are going to need to buy anyway in the next couple of months because anything else will be a waste of money.

I wouldn't do a stocking for a 4m old

Unless there were older DC to whom I had to give the impression of 'fairness' to...

A "space blanket" (one of those shiny things they wrap runners after marathons). Babies love the the shininess and the noises they make.

A teething toy

A skwish

cute glove flannel and rubber duck

A cloth book

I'd do some of the little instruments suitable for a baby that places like elc do - shakers etc. One of those small little taggies blankets maybe?

While I totally agree it's madness to do a stocking for a baby, I am doing one for DD who is six months. I realsie it's mostly for my own benefit.

What about:
Rattle
Little musical instruments e.g. shaker, bells
Massage oil
Bath lotion
Teething toys
Hat and gloves
Rainmaker

DD was 3 months old her first Christmas and I did things like:
Dummies (she obviously had one)
Sippy cup
Little fancy socks
Rattle
toothbrush and toothpaste
Little bowl and spoon (fancier ones than I would have bought for weaning)

And although she obviously was nowhere near that stage she still had chocolate coins and an orange because it was her stocking from santa (over enthusiastic first time mum to a PFB Grin)

I did one for my DS1 who was 5 months at the time - although, in hindsight, I have no idea why!

Anyway, I stuffed it with cuddly toys (there was a collection that DH had started when DS1 was born so I just bought the rest of those) which he still has on his bed 5 years later. Have no idea what else I bought him to be honest - just remember the cuddly toys Grin

DS will be 3.5 months at Christmas. I suspect he'd like gift-wrapped breasts and a clean nappy.

I'm not bothering.

I got dd3 (2 months last Xmas) things she would use over the next year. Clothes, toothbrush, couple of little toys , socks, bath stuff, board books

My ds will be 8 months and his stocking will have a small teddy, 2 buggy books, some bells, a rattle and some new bubbles. Christmas is made up of a whole bunch of stuff you don't need to do, may as well go the whole hog Grin makes mental note to purchase chocolate coins
