Anyone able to recommend where to buy an 18" child bike from?

I've had bad experience with Halfords.

I second the advice to go to a local independent bike shop. If you don't have one near you or they don't sell kids bikes try Evans.

Another vote for Islabikes. Expensive but well worth it, great re-sale value too. Customer service is fab.
