I need help/inspiration/a bloody clue about DD's stocking this year.

So far I have...

Hair thingies from Accessorise despite DD being lacking in the hair department

And a satsuma (yet to buy naturally)

Any suggestions?

I have just bought some bath crayons for DS and he is also getting some animal stickers and choc coins, that's as far as I've got. John Lewis have a 'pocket money' range of toys that are small and relatively cheap if you need inspiration. Some might be ok for 2yr old.

Big bubble wand from Hawkins ( and other bits from there too).
Poundland stuff- have found very fab zebra mask and lion mask. And a tube of 20 glowsticks.
Also bought cutlery, flannel that expands when you get it wet from Disney store.
Other tat!

Aldi had some nice Christmas slipper socks and ordinary socks this week. They had some chocolate reindeer too, the ones that look just like the Lindt ones but are only 99p.

agree with all of the above. We'll be at my parents for the big day, so stocking is down to grandma (yaay!) but we do an advent calender with small gifts in for our DDs.
DD1 (just turned 3) will get a teeny bottle of pink nail varnish (to be used strictly under mum's supervision!)
Also small Mr Man/Little Miss books

oh, and other things also... just didn't want to repeat stuff already listed here.... but we're obviously getting them more than 2 things!
I found balloons with their names on. 1 year old DD2 won't notice the thought gone into that one, but will be happy enough with balloons. DD1 will be delighted to read her name on it... til they pop!

Loving all of these. Her favourite characters are Charlie & Lola so an going to try and find some Lola knickers (I think Sainsburys do lots of C&L stuff)

Love the Christmas teddy idea too so will keep an eye out for something like that.

Oh in fact I saw a Nemo magic flannel in the supermarket before that will do.

Chocolate coins OF COURSE! How could I forget them!

DS (who will be 2.9yo then) will be getting:

Plastic ruler
Paint brushes
Tiny wind up toy (robot, but you can get loads)
Some little dinosaurs that you clip onto a zip - from Natural History Museum
Chocolate coins (OF COURSE - how could you forget OP?!!)
Clementine

And maybe something bulky to pad it out, because that doesn't sound like much volume and it's a stupidly big stocking!

DS1 was 2.10 last year and had rather a generous stocking because I got excited. Blush
-a couple of metal Thomas Tank trains
-a couple of books (Apple Tree Farm and Thomas, small for stocking)
-Thomas socks
-a couple of Schleish farm animals
-chocolate Santa lolly
-Little quacking duck torch
-a little cardboard kaleidescope
-a pencil case
-wooden castanets
-tiny tub of Thomas-themed playdough
-THomas annual (can you see a theme developing?)
-Choc money, satsuma

Hope he can't remember the extent of that largesse from last year, because I'm planning to go simpler and cheaper this time! Grin

I hear you re: getting carried away last year, Reshape!

I'm like a child, I love Christmas and go completely over the top, especially now I have children of my own.

Unfortunately they're still a bit young to join in my excitement. Grin Well, they get excited with me but don't quite understand why...
