Have been reading through the Christmas discussions and keep seeing mention of a Christmas eve hamper. Never heard of this before. Do lots of people do it? What is it exactly?

I've never done a Christmas Eve Hamper, but I always buy the DCs new PJs.

This year, I've got lidded Snowman boxes from Homesense.
It's just something to occupy them and wind down before the big day, and things you would have bought them anyway, so not loadsa money.

PJs- Primark
Slippers- Landsend sale
An annual/book
A DVD
Christmas mug and sachet of instant hot chocolate (my DC don't like marshmallows)
Bathbomb- Lush
Tube of sweets- Haribo or Smarties £1
New toothbrush

And depending on the age of DC- Reindeer Food

Either have them 'delivered' when DC are in the bath or with mine because they are 12 and 9, leave in their bedrooms for after the Christmas Eve walk.
