Sherry for cake!

Just doing my online shop and getting the Christmas cake stuff, first time I have made one, could anyone please tell me what sherry I need to buy, there are many options, fino seems to be the cheapest! :-D

I'd go for a cheap little bottle of own-brand whiskey or brandy rather than sherry. Agree fino is too dry.

no no no, sherry is for trifle not christmas cake. you need a mini bottle of brandy for christmas cake. will be doing mine next week!!!
