Horrid Henry

DON"T get postman pat - RUBBISH
as is the Carnival (?) one. It's like fairground games. A waste of money.

My DS and his friends (just turned 6) LOVE Super Mario Brothers. He is getting Mario 64 for Christmas. I would definately recommend them.

Fireman Sam, Horrid Henry, Scooby Doo, Mario Kart and Sonic the Hedgehog (original games) are the current favourites in our house.

House work ? how old are your kids? DS (5 in dec) loves fireman Sam, but now he?s started school, will he grow out of that (is a ben 10 revolution inevitable?)

My DS (just turned 6) completely bypassed Ben 10 thank goodnesss. I just think it is awful. He likes Tom & Jerry and Garfield. I am going to buy him a Tom & Jerry ds game too for Christmas.

Horrid Henry's a definite no-no!
We've deleted all the HH TV cartoons after DS's behaviour/attitude got worse and worse.
Talking to alot of other mums, they said they feel the same.
He is a little shit (HH that is!) and never gets his come uppance and the bloody parents.....soppy as a sack of spuds.

Like the sound of Fireman Sam. Of course Norman Price is also a little shit but definitely not in the same league as HH!

DS loves toy story 3, Lego star wars complete saga (best DS purchase ever!) and Mario kart.

My six year old DS has a variety of games but the only one he is interested in is Super Mario (in fact thats also 7 year old DD's favourite too!). I think some games can be quite frustrating for young children if they are too hard to play and if they need to be able to read.

What happens in Super Mario?

DS is 5 (and a half - which is v.important apparently!) but still really enjoys the fireman Sam game.

Thinking about it - he does not really play the HH one prefers Fireman Sam, I just looked at what he has on the shelf - he seems to enjoy all the mini games that FS offers, but quite enjoys the levels of Sonic although he does get annoyed if sonic dies and he cannot do a level (but then so do I!) Grin

Have bought Scooby Doo and Cars2 for Xmas, he is not really into Ben10 but since starting school, Doctor Who has become a huge hit!

Just giving this a bump!

Have put fireman sam and Toy story games on his list.

Any other inspirations?

My DS who will be 5 by then, is getting one called "Let's Draw" and a Pepa Pig one. We already have several of those "pets" ones - the dogs, hamsters, pony and so on that he likes.

DS2(6.5) loves Super Mario. He also loves anything Sonic. He is getting Sonic and Mario at the Winter Olympic Games and he also getting Phineas and Ferb 2nd Dimension, which is a 7+ game (influence of DS1, 10), but DS2 is very good at playing DSi games.

What about Cars2?

Animal Crossing

Brilliant, hours of fun. Even my 10yo still plays it sometimes.

Thanx all.Have bought him Lego Star Wars (he has lego Pirates of the Carib, which he adores - a little bit too much methinks!) and Mariokart.

Thanx for all the advice.

We plan to give him the games towards the end of xmas day otherwise we wouldn't see him at all!!

Shrek
Peppa Pig
Lego Batman
Sonic anything
Mario Karts

My 5 year old DS loves all of the above. I have bought him a drawing one for xmas. I only hope his DS lasts that long (he likes dropping it...)
