Hi Everyone,
Have really enjoyed reading through the Christmas thread. We are a bit low on finances this year and have 4 sets of grandparents to buy for.
My sons are two and three. I am already planning to mke them a Christmas card with my sons as we have lots of arts and crafts stuff.

But to save on costs i wanted to get them all a lovely Homemade gift from the boys, with me helping obviously. Like cookies, fudge, chocolates etc.
Has anybody got some ideas or recipes which i could try out and anywhere i could get some packaging to put them in.

Have you tried using Pinterest? People 'pin' up images, which link to the websites they're from. There are so many amazing recipes and little DIY ideas on there, for every occasion you could think of. You can make you're own boards and 're-pin' something that someone has put up onto one of your boards, so you could have one for recipes that you can look back on whenever you need to.

You have to request an invite which can take a day or two, but i've found it so so useful!

I have brought keyrings from tesco that I am going to put a photo in of the boys. They are only a couple of pounds.

One of the best presents that my In laws still proudly have up, is a lovely grandparents type poem (that I'm sure could be found on the internet) with my DSS feet and hand prints either side.
Cost of paper, paint and a nice frame, a few quid! Smile

These [http://www.kodakgallery.co.uk/CalOverview.jsp desktop calendars] were a real hit with DS's GPs last year.

For our toddler group we've got some magnetic ceramic tiles (and mugs I think) from Yellow Moon and some of the pens to draw on them. Going to let the kids decorate them how they like so they could be used as presents.

Or peppermint creams? I bought a load of cellophane bags and a roll of cellophane from Amazon to wrap home-made stuff last year. Honecomb (cinder toffee) is great to make but maybe not too safe? Look at the recipes on here...

Ooh, and I did some preserved clementines in syrup (can't remember where the recipe was from but you could google it), they looked lovely in a nice jam jar.
