I am finding it sooo difficult.

if he really wants something he spends hours researching and buying it himself.
he buys his own clothes and has good taste, so clothes are out.
doesn*t drink
he likes japan/asia, has wok and cook books...
hates puzzles

oh dear me Xmas Hmm
any suggestions?

ask him what he's recently thoroughly researched, and tell him to write them on a piece of paper, with price and location.

tell him you want him to write at least 3 items down.

then ban him from buying any of them till after christmas because it'll be a surprise (hence having the list to choose from)

thank you for all the suggestions.
I think I will go for male grooming or personal training (he does competetive sport).

How about a heart rate monitor? You can get them now that you wear as a watch and so can check your heart-rate while walking etc. Very handy if you exercise a lot.

Frasers had a deal on last week, £30 for hot towel shave thing, facial, manicure, and a bottle of aftershave. Was supposed to be £120. Hmm
