Pintoy vs Le toy Van Doll house

Hello
I would like to buy dd 4 a doll house for christmass. The only thing she wants and promises to be good if FC brings the doll house.

Can anyone let me know which they think is better between the Pintoy Malborough doll house and the Le Toy Van Mayberry manor house.

I like the Marlbouroyugh because it looks so stable and will looks like it will last a Ds's distructive way of play. The wood is thicker and stronger.

I have also seen the Le Toy Van Wisteria, but not the actual Mayberry one. The Wisteria, which I assume is similar to the Mayberry, looks pretty but not as stable i felt. Although i think dd would like the Mayberry because 'it looks like Grandma and Grandpa's house', I would like to get her something that lasts. She might not appreciate that the Marlbourough has no pastel colour.
Would you buy the Marlborough Marlborough or the Mayberry

Many thanks for any advice!

Hmm I did the same search 2 years ago and these were both contenders.

I ended up getting the ELC one which I'm convinced is made by Le Toy Van(saw it listed as LTV on a US site and the build is identical). The ELC one if it is LTV has held up very well even gone through a house move and twin brothers.

I wished I got the Mayberry as I love it and like the garden/roof thing. I went for ELC because of cost with their 20% discount. However the other one is huge and you can get a basement like a proper Victorian house.

Word of warning they do find the wooden houses quite naive ie not fiddly enough after a while/very soon actually. In retrospect I wish I'd got a Sylvanian one as dd is now into this far more. Her SF animals live in the ELC one when Polly Pocket lets them but the scale isn't quite right so considering getting her a SF one now. I also loved the Playmobil one too.

It's hard.I wonder if the wooden doll's house is for mummy in a lot of cases(certainly mine, never had one).I've lost count of friends who say their dds don't actually play with the wooden ones much. I was certainly a little disappointed to begin with,dd is 6 at Xmas and only in the last year playing a lot with it and to be honest would prefer a SF one now. Saying that it's a nice focal point in her room and a lot of random things end up living in it because of that eg GoGos etc. Maybe a SF house would have got broken or been overlooked, don't know.

The Marlborough is huge(seen it in several shops) and less girly, hate that phrase but you do want her to play with it so if you go down the wooden route I'd go for the Mayberry as it's girly but not too pink.Envy if you do.

Just remembered something about the Mayberry, the rooms are quite small with the walls. The ElC one is open plan on each level. Would be quite a squeeze to fit all the furniture in the Mayberry. Also the walls seemed to cut the pretty wall deco in half. Think fitting the furniture in was the clincher.

Can't recommend one or the other but we bought the Pintoy Marlborough on amazon last night as one of their "Black Friday" deals. It was only £60. It is on sale again today at 2pm but there is a limited number and I think they sell out very quickly. Given it has been on twice in two days I'm sure they will offer it again, worth keeping an eye on.

Sure you can cancel,Banana that is an amazing bargain!!!! How does it work, does the discount automatically come up on items or is it in a particular section? Also how do you know in advance when things are coming up?

If you look on the homepage (filter the link in my previous message into toys and games) they advertise what time things will be on sale but not what the reduced price is. When the counter reaches 0 the "buy" button appears and you have to click it within a second or two in order to get it - we were glued to the laptop and got really lucky!!! Given that it was there yesterday and today it might be there tomorrow as well so it's worth trying - it's a great bargain if you can get it.

Hello,
I bought a Le Toy Van doll house last Christmas : Sophie's House H104 and I am very happy with my purchase! High quality wood, paint and the details inside are amazing. My little girl loves her doll house and all the accessories I bought to go with it (Sophie's car, doll family, playmat: I bought the whole theme! :) ) I would definitely recommend Le Toy Van for doll house purchase.
