Right,

I have the small stocking stuff all sorted, I have some small to medium gifts all sorted, but I need ideas for one big present.

the difficulty is that my DS has his b-day right around Christmas.

He has already bought by me and GPs-
Balance bike
rocking horse
aqua draw
brio stuff
pop up pirate game
tool set
toy food stuff
craft items
clothes

I was going to get him a work bench, but am off that idea- he has tools already. I was going to get him an easle but he has a chalk board on one of the walls and a small table and chair for drawing on.

What is a good half decent gift?
What are you getting your toddler?

Arrrgh

Wooden train set? Play kitchen? Garage?

If his birthday is near Christmas and he's got plenty of presents already how about putting the money you would have spent away for something for the garden in the summer?

Are that list of presents things he already has or for this year? To me several of those class as a big presnt - eg balance bike/ tool set/rocking horse. And along with medium sized things - would be plenty for one small boy even counting a birthday too.

My 2yo ds is getting some thomas trains, extra track and a couple of smaller bits.

Duplo. It will be played with for years.

We've got DS (will be 3 at the end of March) a bigger size wheelybug. He has the smaller size one for his 1st birthday, pretty much hasn't been off it for the past year, it goes everywhere with us. The supermarket and hospital are favourites, and whizzes round the house on it too. His legs are getting a bit long for the smaller one now though.

My nearly 2 yr old DS also has a birthday right by christmas. He is getting fairly minor Birthday presents TBH. Giving him a wooden train set for his main Christmas present as he is mad about trains atm.

Loves Diggers and Tractors too.

He also likes DD's Little Tikes scooter, happyland stuff, and toy cars. Plus Peppa Pig as DD has a few of the playset things.

I'm with alittlebitshy in that the list above sounds like plenty to me- I would definitely consider a rocking horse as a 'big' present for instance.

My DD is getting a happyland pirate ship and a wooden train set from me and DH. From other relatives some more happyland stuff and a digital camera.

OK, have taken all my purchases out and had a gift inventory. We have plenty!

I am in no need of anything, might get him something biggish in the summer.

Thanks everyone.
