following on from a thread i've just posted on i've started to think about / buy for DH for his stocking.

last year i really outdid myself Grin and even he was amazed at the "original" stuff i bought.

to start with i always buy a food item (Waitrose salsa last year - v v good) and a small funny book but this year am slightly stuck for inspiration for the rest of it, so thought i'd nick yours Grin.

so, what do YOU buy for yours??

thanks

thanks for your ideas.

bigchris : this is in addition to his main present, but as he generally doesn't buy himself anything during the year, apart from suits for work, I'm quite happy blowing a sum on him at Xmas, which is why i start early Grin

Holland and Barrett do small bags of nuts and dried fruits in yogurt coating which DH loves, they went down well last Christmas.

He also likes posh shower gel, any form of gadget relating to wine, e.g. bottle stoppers, cellar labels, rapid cooling jackets etc. He has in the past also had a

spectacle maintenance kit including cleaning stuff and cloth and a tiny screwdriver to tighten loose screws.

leather credit card wallet

mini wind-up torch

Christmas ale

TK Maxx have loads of things for blokes.

A bottle of Winter Pimms is lovely, which you have hot. (1 part Winter Pimms and 3 parts clear apple juice, heated.

Jar of pickled onions (or whatever random foodstuff I can find that will make me laugh)
miniature of booze and/or bottle of beer
shower gel - the mini ones you get in Superdrug
chocolate - any old crap, he's not fussy

once had to do a christmas stocking for a bald man so of course put in an enormous comedy comb

mini screwdrivers, a torch (we need a new one EVERY year and lose them constantly), a pen drive, socks, running shorts, sweets, shower get, post it notes, a magazine, socks...i've done all of these (not all at once!) in the past few years.

I do a secret hamper for every one

We all get new pj's - dvd to watch - pop corn - new xmas mug filled with hot chocolate sachet & mini marshmellows, colouring books & crayons for the girls, beer & crisps for dh & of course some magic raindeer food to sprinkle on the grass.

Husband takes the girls for a bath & then we leave it under the chimney for the girls to find.

Not exactly what you are looking for but thats what happens in our house Grin
