Hello,

I am a Master's journalism student doing research into challenging behaviour among infant school children.

I wonder if any parent for whom the following rings bells might be willing to talk to me: Does your child seem willing to do whatever is necessary to get what they want, including being violent or apparently manipulative? Do they seem to recognise but have no concern for the feelings or needs of others? Perhaps you have other well-behaved children, and this child seems somehow "different"?

I am acutely aware of the sensitivity of this subject, and I will of course treat any correspondence in the strictest of confidence. This is a thorough and wide-ranging piece of academic research, with input from teachers, headteachers and academics, and I am keen to get contributions from as many parents as possible.

If you think you might like to talk to me, or if you have any queries, please do post below, send me a message or email me at: squaregrove[at]gmail.com. Many thanks

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
