Hi All

I have a beautiful baby boy who is eight months old now (time flies!).

Up until last week he was on two breast feeds a day (first thing in morning, and bedtime) and two bottles a day (mid-morning & Mid-afternoon).

A few nights ago, baby starting biting me on the bedtime feed and he kept doing it. He even made me bleed. I decided then and there that it was the right time for me to stop breast-feeding.

So... he has always been good at taking a bottle and we have simply swapped the two breast feeds for bottle feeds. Baby is not phased and everything is working well... except... my boobs hurt!

My last breast feed was 2 nights ago... how long does it take for your body to get the message and the pain to die down?

Lulabell x

Shouldn't really be hurting now, particularly as you only BF for two per day! Maybe visit GP.

I stopped breastfeeding at 14 weeks and my breasts were agony for about 5 days. It was awful but it does pass!

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
