my son is 5 months old and is a wee diamond, great nature always got a sunny smile.just as well as i have pnd!! he sleeps from 9.30 till bout 6.30 or 7 the next morning, but he also has around 3 or 4 hour long naps a day,and his morning nap he can sleep for 2 or 3 hours.is that normal? he is very active, always moving around,or in his bouncy door swing or wanting to stand up and play so could this be why he sleeps so much. im not complaining its just that it seems other kids his age dont seem to sleep much during the day.

My ds is 6 months old and sleeps from about 8.30 at night to 6.30ish the next morning (with no middle of the night wake ups) and he has 3 naps a day totaling about 3 or 4 hours. He usually has a nap of 2 hours in the middle of the day.

I would say be thankful! (and slightly smug grin) I know I am!

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]
For a sceptical face, , type [hmm]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
