Hi. I have been feeling quite down in my relationship. we have been together 10 yrs, got together when I was only 17. Have 2 wonderful DD's. He works away all week so I look after kids on my own with mo help. To me it seems like he only cares about his career and he is a workoholic and saves for the future. I have had doubts before. Last year told him I wasn't happy, had PND also and no support what so ever from him. Got over the PND but still feel abit strange every now and then and he anoys me at weekends and I don't think he really makes me happy. I dread weekends because there is always so much to do, the house is a tip and he winds me up. He never wants to do family things together which makes me sad and I feel bored.

Does anyone have a fantastic relationship? If so what do you do at weekends? Is the grass really greener on the other side?

I have a strong relationship with DP although we've actually had a period of separation recently, following a similar experience of young kids and him being away with work. Now gradually working things out ...

I have now organised some regular weekend childcare (Saturday mornings) which makes a huge difference to me. However hard the week is, I know I'm going to go off to a class on a Saturday morning and it makes such a huge difference. You could also plan in some regular time for you as a couple, and talk to him about the fact you need his help with family stuff - it's so much easier with two adults. Maybe if he knows you're going to get couple time he might be more willing to do a regular slot at weekends and give you a break?

If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
