DS is 15months and has recently decided he's a one nap a day kind of boy, but he will sleep for 2.5 to 3hrs! (Goes down around 1130, then has late lunch) Should I be waking him earlier? He is still sleeping through at night though, so should I leave him?
Thank you

Doesn't sound like there is any reason to wake him! I'd leave him be - that sounds about right to me.

My DD is nearly 20m and has been havin one nap a day since around a year. She will sleep the same although recently its gone to about 1 to 1 and a half hours and sometimes I wake her otherwise she won't go to bed at night. But at 15m that sounds perfectly normal.

2.5-3 hours is great - let him sleep. Mine slept for that long as well.

Oh gordon bennett, let him sleep. You lucky thing!

[Imagines a world where there is both sleep during the day and at night, or even either of these]

of course you should leave him, although if he's night time sleep suddenly changes, i'd knock 30 mins off the sleep (at the end, not the beginning) and see how he goes from there.

Sounds fine to me. My daughter had similar long naps at that age - wonderful me time for getting chores done.

Never mind the chores - its my nap time too! Am 12wks with #2 so was worrying about being selfish and letting him sleep so I got more rest.
Thank you all, thats the answer I was looking for! And I'll watch for night time disruption DD and follow your 30 min advice.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
