: So you love all your children the same... but what about your children? Do they have a preference for Mummy or Daddy?

Dd1 is a Daddy's girl, but dd2 is firmly in my team, always has been, which is strange really as I have a far more mixed relationship with her, we clash far far more than dd1 and I ever do, I have shouted at her far more times than I ever have at dd1 ... but still she will always insist on sitting next to me at the dinner table.
ds is just starting to be really into his dad, will have to see how things develop there as he's still so young!
I cannot ever say that I love my children differently...I don't, they all make my heart ache with joy as well as pain when they are ill.....in the exact same way.
but
I do get on with each of them differently and in different ways, depending on eash personality....and TBH, I also 'prefer' different child/ren at different times and for different things.
DD1 is getting so grown up now, and is great company...altho she and I clash terribly as we are both so similar in temperament. she is also a 'daddy's girl', so she finds his company preferable to mine at times. if daddy is doing something alone, then he isn't alone for long....she is there with him.
DD2 is very much like her dad in personality....very laid back and chilled, except certian times of the month now. she does sulk however, which is so bloody irritating, where as DD1 and I shout and then forget, DD2 goes quiet and will dwell on things for days. she is a daddys gilrs some days, mine on others.
DD3 is me thro and thro, but with added OCDish tendencies. she is a mummys girl, and is lovely company and very sweet, but then, she is still 9...so hormones haven;t hit with force yet. she is however quite volotile at times....makes for interesting shouting matches!!
DS1 is daddy's again....altho he is a very angry little boy right now. he is feeling lost in the family I think.....he is the eldest son, yet is 'squashed' by three older sisters. I love it when I have in on my own tho....he is funny.
DS2 is mine still....funny and cute and infuriating and stubborn and loud and frustrating. and the youngest so still my baby, altho he won;t be for much longer as he is rivalling DS1 for attention from daddy!
I think all three would say Dad if they were asked, he's more fun than me, more laidback, and also not around as much (and when he is he does things for them, whereas I try to get them to be as independent as possible).
Middle child in particular though misses me when I'm not around.
DS1 is definitely a daddy's boy. Its daddy who he calls for first thing in the morning and prefers to play with. I think its because DH is really laid back whereas DS1 is my mini-clone so we tend to clash!
DS2 on the other hand is currently still mummy's boy although I have noticed he's started getting very exciting when daddy comes home now! Hmmm will have to work double hard to keep his affection!
