...what do you do about covering up your LO?

DD3 is 5mo, and I mostly cart her about in a back carry using a mei tai. Hat, check - my 3 yr old is getting pretty good at that too when I knock it off smile, but it has been so sunny today! We have been out most of the day and as she was wearing next to nothing because of the heat so her arms and legs were exposed. I suncreamed her up loads, but would prefer keeping her in the shade to suncream (but not if it means going back to buggies for her!)

Either suncream or very thin cotton clothes, DD2 was wearing a thin hooded jacket type creation today which is basically one layer of cotton with a strappy vest thing underneath and then very thin cotton trousers.

You could try making a cover out of solarveil - kind of like a raincover but for sun. Was on the point of doing this for DS but never got round to it.

I used to cover us both with a big golf umbrella. Looks crazy, but I don't particularly care what people think. It's also handy when the changeable scottish weather then starts chucking it down!! shock

Now as I had wondered about trying to use the protect-a-bub as some kind of cape blush, a golf umbrella seems positively sensible!

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
