Somebody told me that there is a baby shop in Fleet, Hampshire, that has one but it's too far to travel

Yes - lighter, folds with doubles kit in place, hand brake...

I ordered mine on Friday. It was the last one not reserved in Black/Charcoal due at the end of the month.

I tried a Sport but sent it back so really hoping this is worth the extra money..

I'm thinking I should become a double buggy tester the amount I've had now.

Thank goodness for Ebay!!!!wink

..and why did you send the Sport back??

Got it from Great Expectations in Brighton. Ordered Doubles kit, double storm cover and thing that goes in basket! (base bag?) Makes it easier to remove contents of basket in one hit as you fold double seat on back into basket to collapse.

As for Sport... well, I already have a Mutsy with duo seat which is brilliant to push and in comparison to that the Sport felt awful and at that point I had to walk along a narrow lane to school and it kept going into the road!

I hated the metal bar showing when you reclined the back seat and my DD2 kept banging her head.

She kept undoing the zips which meant the top seat reclined onto her head shock

I found the harnesses on the seats fiddly to do up as they weren't like normal car seat/buggy harnesses. I probably could've handled one like it but having to do 2 and with the one in the back being awkward to get to it made it a PITA.

These things have all been rectified on the new Vibe tho' I have to say I'm still a little anxious, especially as I'm still keeping it a secret!!!

oh I really fancy one of these too

<<adds thread to watch list>>

was looking at the vibe and icandy pear as really want a double that can be used as a single when dd2 is up a bit and dc3 still needs pram

Thanks Waytmi!! I have found their website but can't find the vibe stuff on it - can I be really rude and ask how much you paid for all of that (hoping your DP isn't reading this of course wink. Good thought about the web bag if you have to empty it to fold it - very good thinking indeed.

Also - on the web I've found the red/black and charcoal/black and curiously black/silver in some places though not on the main P&T website - is the black/silver the same as the charcoal/black does anyone know??
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By Waytmi on Wed 16-Apr-08 14:55:15
No prob. I've assumed that silver is same as charcoal but don't know for sure. I looked up my local P&T stockists and rang Great Expectations rather than doing it online.

Originally I was ordering from Lily May I think? But then I called them as their website said end of April but I wanted to double check.

So glad I did!!! Website apparently well out of date (very conveniently...) All their first 2 shipments already sold & none available til June or even July! hmm

I've paid a deposit of £100 with balance of £399 left.

HTH smile

That is very helpful - I ended up on the Lily wotsit site too!

Are you going to bother with a cocoon and does Gt Expectations do the black & charcoal do you happen to know? I will phone them tomorrow I think!

I am brimming with excitement.

Hi, just to let you know I picked it up at the beginning of the week. It's actually black/black. Very stylish!!

My husband has offered to move out of our bed so I can sleep with it as he thinks I'm in love with it!!!

I'm using it in toddler/toddler mode and finding it great.

If anyone wants to ask anything fire away!!

BTW my SKIP*HOP Via changing bag looks great with it in black with a red label [saddo expression]

It also hangs just below the back of the rear seat so doesn't get in the way. I've also got a SKIP*HOP bottle bag to match which clips to the side. Could put one either side except they cost a lot!!

Happy to answer any questions.....I read multiple reviews & was very wary about spending so much money but SO pleased I did. wink

No, thanks for coming back, glad to hear you are so pleased

I'm not allowed any more prams, but that looks lovely. Can you put the double seat on top, like the old sort? And how does the second seat raincover work? The p&t site says it has individual zip on rain covers- or is that just the main seat?
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By Waytmi on Fri 16-May-08 01:24:07
The double seat has 2 positions on top. Had to use the double raincover yesterday & it just sits over the top of the whole thing. It's the single one that zips onto the hood.

Glad I hadn't killed the thread for good!!

Saw the other day that someone wasn't happy with theirs so wanted to give another opinion.
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By Thankyouandgoodnight on Fri 16-May-08 06:54:39
No brill thanks for coming back - so is the rain cover either on or off then or can you keep it on but 'up', rather than remove it completely? i.e. nearly on for a swift covering if needs be??

Does it still have zips to recline the main seat or does it have something else?

My friend got a sport and isn't happy with the brake, the amount of recline of the toddler seat in the main upright position, the fact that you unzip to recline the seat...
Did you buy a cosy toes thing?
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By Waytmi on Fri 16-May-08 10:05:34
Hi. The raincover is pretty much on or off but you can fold it up over the hood out of the way at the front and the back has a section you can roll/fold up which then velcros out of the way. Hope that makes sense!

To recline the main seat there is a strap across the back which unclips and slides into whichever position you want. This is all I use for my DD2 daytime nap but there are also zips to get it to completely flat.

I had a Sport I hated & this is so much better. The brake is much easier to use and I was concerned about knocking it by mistake but that hasn't happened yet!

I haven't bought cosy toes as I didn't like the last ones I had & I've got plenty of universal ones kicking about..

My little ones are the true test and they've both said they like it & climb back in it. smile I'm thinking it's money well spent!! wink

I am delerious with excitement about getting mine - it should be here next week!
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By pinkyminky on Fri 16-May-08 16:28:59
I have to say I think my older V2 is better than the Sport in many areas, a number of friends have the sport and have had lots of issues.
This vibe looks lovely. But I'm definitely not allowed any more prams!
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By Waytmi on Fri 16-May-08 21:39:11
I was very excited too blush! I was hounding the shop every few days especially once I heard the first shipment had landed!!

I'm pleased I ignored the negative reviews I'd read as I haven't had issues with anything other than the clips locking but that doesn't worry me.
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By Thankyouandgoodnight on Fri 16-May-08 22:40:13
Clips locking?
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By Waytmi on Sat 17-May-08 00:14:52
When you fold it to lock it. Sorry!
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By Thankyouandgoodnight on Sat 17-May-08 12:05:24
Oh - what happens? Are they a bit fragile? I must warn DH as he is very heavy handed and they would bust on first fold....!
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By Waytmi on Sat 17-May-08 12:49:33
In the shop they couldn't shut them & Out n About were shut so they couldn't check if it was ok to force them. They were meant to find out and let me know and haven't..

I think they do shut but are very stiff at first. And if the pushchair isn't folded enough they will snap so I don't want to risk this happening. (At least not til I know I would get a replacement easily!!!)

I've been using the wrist strap tied round the frame to hold it shut... wink
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By Thankyouandgoodnight on Sat 17-May-08 13:56:54
That doesn't sound great but the if you're going to use the wrist strap, you may as well risk trying the clips and if they snap, then using the wrist strap wink?

Where would you get the replacement clips from?
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By Waytmi on Sat 17-May-08 14:58:50
If the pushchair broke I would expect it to be replaced or repaired under warranty but as there aren't many spare about at the moment I don't want to risk it just yet.

Also, I use it every day for the school run & DD2s naps so I've actually not really needed to fold it much yet.

The clips that lock it are the same ones that have to be released to fold it and the shop said they are always stiff to begin with. It's really not an issue to me...wink
I'm still loving it!!!! [saddo expression!]
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By pinkyminky on Sat 17-May-08 15:10:22
If it's like the v2 push and pull clips, you may need to turn them so they are in the right position. I've never been very good at folding our P&T, it mainly stands in the hall and we take the micralite out in the car, or DH sorts it!
