DID YOU HAVE CHILDREN BEFORE YOUR MID-TWENTIES?
Whilst much has been made of the trend towards women waiting to have children until their mid to late 30s, women often complete their families much younger - many by their mid-twenties. This, of course, was the norm in previous generations. I am a freelance journalist (also a mum) looking to interview women who have done this (they may now be in their 30s). I could chat to you by phone or in person and you would need to be photographed. I would talk to you about your experiences and views about being a young mum and would be happy to show you what I write. This is for You magazine. KHilpern@aol.com

I was 24 when I had my son and 27 when my daughter was born... so I'm probably too old! I would say though that everyone seemed to be 10 years older than me or 5 years younger!

i love being a young mum and i know i do a briliant job! My daughter was unplanned but i would not change her for the world, she is incredible and being a mother is the most extraordinary experience a woman could wish for..
i think young mums get a hard time, and those of us who prove the skeptics wrong should be celebrated! i dont think age has anything to do with the make-up of a good parent..

My dd is now 14 months old, I had her a couple of weeks after turning 20. She wasn't planned and I'm a single parent, it's tough but I get on with it whilst trying to enjoy it all as much as I can. Dd is getting to be rather stubborn, determined and fiesty, no idea where she gets it from.......!
