DId you meet your partner at work?

I'm writing a piece for a quality monthly woman's magazine on office affairs - including company 'love contract's', the law, your rights etc. I have interviewed one woman who was fired when an office affair went sour and I'm really looking for more experiences... Maybe someone who met their partner in the office - and after an initial period of secrecy or a rocky ride, they are now married/ with children? Or someone who regrets an office affair... Anyone with a story, please e me on moore_anna@btinternet.com

I met my DH while working in a Global Consulting Firm, where I was the HR Manager for Australia and New Zealand and he was a Manager level Consultant (later he made Partner). I checked with the Managing Partner and another Partner that I reported to that they would be OK with me dating him and gave them reassurances about maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. We were both good performers and they gave us their blessing.

A couple of years later, both the Partners came to our wedding and now 8 years later we have 2 kids and another on the way. We left the Firm about two years after marrying.

This was all in Oz, so might be outside the scope of your article, although the legal issues are pretty much the same. IME in HR the issues arise when relationships break down, rather than when they start up.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
