Radio documentary

Hello, my name's Zoe. I am a freeIance journalist and am making a radio documentary about websites like mumsnet.com. The story is about how useful such websites are and their growing popularity. A friend who uses mums net claims to use it for everything from cooking advice to advice on nappies. The way questions can be posed and answered quickly, discussions raised on threads and most importantly mums can find other mums with the same problems and interests is fantastic.

I was hoping to find someone who has been really helped by mumsnet for whatever reason.

If you're interested in talking to me please email me - zoekaluz@hotmail.com or call on 07716838396.

Thanks

I have received really useful advice on the behaviour of my two year old daughter. IF anything it has just made me feel a little more sane and like we don't have to be yummy mummies all the time.

Thanks squinny,
That's exactly the sort of thing I need for my doc, just anyone who's life has been helped by websites like mumsnet.

Is there any chance you could email me and I could ask you a couple more questions? Just to zoekaluz@hotmail.com

Thanks very much

i have also recieved useful advice regarding my son's different development stages from how to get him potty trained to different disipline methods. He went through an awful stage of behaviour from around 18months to 2 years and its reasuring to know that the bad stages and the feelings you feel are very common and make you feel your not alone!

i also wish i had discovered mumsnet a lot earlier as i went through a very bad time with my ex and i suffered alone. i know from reading posts from others regarding bad relationships i would of got a lot of support and had the strength to be able to get out of the bad situation a lot quicker causing less heart ache for me and my son.

i also met one of my best friends through mumsnet!!! smile

I was enormously helped by mumsnet, when I was pregnant after a missed miscarriage - the support and understanding of all the other people in the same situation was invaluable, particularly as, two weeks after the miscarriage, I'd moved away from all my friends and had no one to talk to apart from dh.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
