can i write down some thoguhts about the miscarriage. found out i was pg at end of feb (5 weeks). within a few had some pains in uterus area, spoke to epu who said ligament pains. was very big within 2 weeks - had to wear maternity trousers as mine didn't do up by 2-3 inches! everyone was quite reassuring as it was second baby (dd is 3.5) but managed to get my doc to give me midwife appointment. she wasn't convinced that my size was right for my dates so arranged an ealry scan for me. before i went i'd had browny discahrge and spoke to on call doc who told me to rest. when i went for my scan i was what i thought neaarly 9 weeks pg. tummy scan couldn't see anything so they did internal scan. saw baby with heart beat but only measure 7 weeks 1 day. so they adjusted my dates. that evening had more browny discahrge - put it out on here and was told brown is old blood and not much to worry about. took it easy thursday but had bit more friday. spoke to doc friday who said total rest over weekend call if any worse or red blood. started to pass tiny clots fri ngiht, spoke to diff ooh dr who said same but to go to a&e if red blood. sat afternoon had to go to a&e. was seen by consultant on ward who couldn't scan me as not availbe at weekends! was reassured and sent home. ok sun am but sun afternoon lots of pain and big clots - am sure this is when i lost 'alex' consulatnt had made appointment for mon am. was told whne they did internal scan again that i had miscarried. am wondering if it was possible for alex to have stopped grwoing at 7 weeks but still had heartbeat at scan? i was 10 weeks when i miscarriage but scan was showing 7+1? is that possible or if they stop growing would there have not have been a heart beat? am coming to terms with all this erading others threads on here helps, espeically the poems. we've put together a box for alex (we didn't know the sex so gender nuetral name).

oh eleanorsmum, im so sorry. sad

it is possible that while there was a heartbeat Alex wasnt developing correctly, which would explain why he/she was small according to your lmp date, if there is anything i can do please let me know x

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
