if you like em go for it - they aren't that similar imo and if they are who cares?

No, I think they go nicely together and are both nice names in their own right.

I love those, and I think the fact that they're slightly similar makes them even nicer. Devon is inspired.

Yes, they sound like pandas at an American Zoo.

I like Dexter on its own though. Devon is OK but a bit androgenous.

I think the opinions on 'Devon' are a bit late in coming!

Dexter is sweet but I am watching the new ITV series Dexter, where Dexter is a serial killer so that colours it for me at the mo!

Devon is a boy.
I'd not heard the name before (only Devon Malcolm the cricketer) but since having him I've been told of 2 Devon's that are girls so yes it is androgenous.

Not seen the ITV series Dexter.
I once worked with a Dexter who was the sweetest guy

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
