Clementine - No, that's an orange. Clem is Not Nice
Georgina - lovely
Polly - Oh No. I worked with one. She was a slaaaaaag.
Cordelia - no no no no NO

Boys:
Oscar - was poncy now is getting too common
Ernest - daft. Or more likely senile. There can't seriously be any Ernests under the age of 73

Dont really like any of the girls names much.

Claudia would be an acceptible compromise for me!

Oscar - it's a pet name to me.
Ernest - I believe that was the name of my mum's dad. So, doesnt hold particularly positive connotations for me.

Edgar is a kind of a cross between the two .......

Jeff is dreadful. The americans have not got the hang of the fact that Jeff and Brian are not acceptable.

these are Jeffs. these are Brians. It should not be allowed to continue.

I love Cordelia and Oscar. (My lovely gran had Clementine as a middle name, but loathed it so much that she always disclaimed all knowledge of it.)

Love Polly and Cordelia, not fussed about Georgina or Oscar, don't like Clementine or Ernest.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]
For a sceptical face, , type [hmm]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
