My 21 mth old ds has never been a great sleeper. We managed to get him to sleep 8.30pm to approx 5.30am with controlled crying techniques and then we brought him into our bed in the early hrs.

Only problem now - he wants to stay there!! He cries out every 1-2 hrs recently and goes to sleep very quickly when we go in and tell him to cuddle his toys and sleep but it doesn't last. He only sleeps solidly when he's in our bed! I'm sure he wants to be with us and I feel cruel not letting him but am exepcting another one soon and I don't think we can cope with a baby and a toddler in our bed!

Any ideas what to do at this age as letting him cry it out is no longer working.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
