Maternity tights that come in something other than plain bloody black

And maternity underwear that isn't either hideous, virginal (why would I now want to wear smalls that look like they belong to an eight year old?) or overpriced.

Meh.

An incubator, for the whole bump (including hormones, nausea, tiredness, need to pee) so that I can take a day off. Or two. Or a week...

And a zip for getting the baby out - it could be like a washing machine, locked until the cycle is finished!

*effieperine and hansnava*

We are allergy family supreme!

Me - hayfever, eczema, psoriasis, bee stings, some antibiotics.
DH - hayfever for 6 months of the year, I don't think there's a pollen he doesn't react to!
FIL - House dust, hayfever
Niece (FIL's granddaughter) - peanuts

So all in all, mw decided that I ought to give up my lifelong toast-and-peanut-butter breakfast habit. I have half a jar left just waiting for when baby is out and weaned!

I'd like free antenatal exercise classes and maternity bras, they have cost me a fortune this week, and £80 to get my name changed on my passport!

Effie - you're not imagining it - recent research suggests that it can actually be more harmful to babe than not to avoid peanuts during pg. Very frustrating. While the advice to avoid peanuts has been in place here, peanut allergies are on the rise, whereas in cultures where they form part of the mother's diet throughout pg they are very, very rare! But they have not changed the official advice yet... I have not bothered avoiding peanuts this time round. I ended up having them by mistake a couple of times last time (stirfry in peanut oil, and an innocuous looking chocolate cake).

A plug-in in utero baby minder. Un-plug enormous bump, plug into unborn baby minder contraption (designed by Starck), have two glasses of wine, a slab of blue cheese and a 'bleu steak', go to bed and sleep on tummy. Get up at 8.30am the following morning, shower and give feet a really good scrub. Grab Passport and do a runner Return to bedroom remove baby from baby minder and return to abdomen. Dress in hideous clothes.

Some sort of alchohol replacement that is safe to drink a lot of whilst pregnant, in fact it would be beneficial to drink a few glasses whenever you wanted to.

Sigh. I hate sobriety.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
