I'm a soupy gal too when hot and bothered and in need of proper nourishment after hours of travel shite food/not-eating.
French onion soup? Light, delish with melted cheese and (garlic) croutons, green salad? Tastes even better next day if left over or no one could face it.

I would eat soup in the desert, I absolutely love it (yes I admit I am odd, colleagues certainly thought so when I was tucking into Mulligatawny last week when it wss boiling)

So give them soup, you can always rustle up a quick salad on the side in case they don't fancy the soup.

what would you want for supper having just got off a 10 hour plane flight and found it to be hotter than hell at your destination?
My parents are soup people - you can guarantee to please with soup but really really it's too hot for soup. what should I feed them? My mind is blank.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
