Trying to save a few pennies and just wondered if I fry my mince and drain the fat does it make any difference if I buy "lean" or the cheaper stuff?

Like that (dreadful) Tesco's advert about the bacon, the value stuff is 10p, the posh stuff £onemillion, Voiceover says "same stuff but you cut the fat off"
