Milk is an important source of nutrients that you and your family shouldnt miss out on. If someone in your family has lactose intolerance and the rest of the family still want to enjoy the taste of real milk, try Lactofree - the UKs first virtually lactose-free dairy drink.

: do we let kids eat ricecakes given them in the playground by clean but unknown children?
(10 messages)
dd2 was given a rice cake by a girl on the slide yesterday
I checked that she had been given it and had not nicked it
(this resulted in the funniest conversation with the girl on the slide who told me all in one breath 'it is hers <points> she comes for me my mummy goes to work and then when it is nighttime we go home' which I translated as 'my childminder gives them to me')
dd2 was eating said ricecake and adamant that it was hers
my mum was there in my ear drivelling on about how very nice but the child could have herpes
anyway after a weak 'we don't take snacks from people we don't know, darling' 'I know her mummy' 'no you don't, what is her name' 'er, Lola' (I imagine dd2 chose this after discounting 'Pinky Dinky Doo' as a name that might arouse suspicion)
You child stands a very good chance of being infected with herpes anyway if she hasn't been already - about 80% of adults have been exposed to it in childhood. Lots of people have the virus but most don't get regular cold sores IYSWIM.
