Oh I thought this must be something about B&Q paint being made in sweatshops by barefoot urchins.

Surely paint is paint - it goes on the walls and drys, no matter how much you pay for it...........

B&Q had a range of 'Tate' paints a few years ago supposedly based on colours from various tate galleries. So I chose some really gopping colours and made DH paint the dining room bright bright green and the sitting room orange (called Crustacean I think). Looking back I suspect it was truly vile hmm

Not seen the other thread, but agree that expensive clothes are pointless, but each to their own, those that can afford silly prices can gof or it.

so 4 on this thread now, by the why my whole house is painted by B&Q

Yay, - 3 people on this thread. Officially not a disaster, - although can't say tis a success either.

Perhaps is due to me not understanding the other thread to such an extent I wasn't even able to make a joke about it blush!!!

Not generally, - but I went camping once, and a 2 yr old was dressed in white and his mum kept shouting at him to keep standing up on the grass as his clothes were expensive hmm!

He ran around the back of the tent when whe wasn't looking and threw himself on the ground! grin

lol had a quick read and liked this comment:

I'd rather mumsnetters wrote about how they could set up clothing companies like the Boden one rather than how frilly dresses look. But there you are.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
