is it "heavy gardening"?? though? The only reason i ask is because i am wondering if he is either a) using it as an excuse to not do a job he dislikes (fair enough i suppose) or b)is genuinely worried about what he feels able to do? Does he have an exercise regieme or suchlike? sorry, completely ignorant of these things. just wonder if he needs a confidence boost
Why cant he do heavy gardening? Pushing a lawnmower around the yard is hardly heavy gardening. Is he just trying to get out it, the cheeky boy? Did you ask him to make dinner instead and he doesnt want to do that either? On a nice day like this Id rather be mowing the lawn than cooking for sure.
since his transplant, there is a list of things he cant do, being out for long periods of time in the sun is one, and apparently so is mowing the low. never mind the fact the lawnmover weighs less than the buggy, and also collects the clippings so no raking afterwards. i dont find it hard work.
it didnt get done last weekend as i was away, so really needs doing today, as its getting a bit too long now.
I'm ok moondog - been doing a bit of heavy gardening myself, well if pulling a few weeds and digging over a tiny veggie patch counts as heavy. Seem to have developed another cold though, which is frustrating. Have managed to extracate the exercise machine from the bedroom so no excuses - well apart from this cough, which i think is an allergy - but yeah, im doing OK thanks
am I the only one loving the fact that Misdee is moaning about peter
Sorry Misdee we are not being very supportive to you. Tell him to cook the dinner or take you all out for a meal. (spending £ will give him the inspiration!)
Don't mow the lawn get the kids to run over it squashing it flat
Dinner was very nice. everyone except for dd1 opted for the sunday roast option, and everyone enjoyed it, though the ice cream desserts went down a lot better lol.
Very good excuse, and glad dinner was good as well. Dh is apparently 'allergic' to mowing the lawn - which as we've got quite a large lawn that's on clay (so currently moist enough to sink into but ideal for growing grass this weather) its VERY heavy going. He will do the pull start for me though
I remember sitting at midnight waiting for the news of the transplant and somebody said:- I can't wait until you berate him for not mowing the lawn" I bet you can still find it if you remember the day of the transplant, which I can't.
