ds has temp today & one other little girl who was at the party is off sick from school (this mum has 4 kids & I have 5 so we're hoping it doesn't spread to our others as we both have a baby as well).
he he he at the boys mum having diarrhea now!!! lets hope it doesn't hit during the school run!!!!! her kids will never be invited again
WTF am in shock at the complete lack of thought for anyone else..... and for your poor ds,as for her ha bloody ha! god knows what she was up to but would def warn your close friends at the school gate!!!!!
Bet she had some tryst to hurry off to...spread rumours at the school gate that she was looking 'very attractive' and was rushing off somewhere ina a rather secretive manner.
Does it not occur to people that if a school says 'no admission within 48 hours of diarrohea' because of the (high) chance of infection, that it might be a good idea to apply that to other very sociable occasions?
Will the stupidity and inconsiderateness of some people ever cease to amaze me, I wonder?
this is something which really makes me LIVID.. parents who only ever think of their own children, sod everyone else. Am seeing this increasingly Hope your DD and other guests don't catch anything.
it was great fun - everyone had a super time. We have lots of shade so all enjoyed the swing & slide plus running about & some party games. I was happy when they all left & had a super big cup of tea!!
I was astonished. I asked him if he need the loo a few times. So relieved he didn't (apart from the garden weeing) plus that he didn't fill his nappy as well.
if he had a tummy bug then how irresponsible. My ds had to wear nappies at four, for really bad diarrhea as he had a bowel diorder he now on medication which controls it. Are you sure he was poorly in tummy bug way? If so no way should she of took him
So she brought a 5 yr old with a stomach upset to your party, wearing a nappy, with instructions not to feed him any of the lovely party food and she left so you'd have needed to deal with the dirty nappy and the humiliated child?
Lucky he didn't have an accident as you were busy - so you'd have needed to deal with it? Sorry - by that do you mean she LEFT??? She did NOT leave did she, tell me I read that wrong?
Thought it odd - I've a lot on and just hope mine wont come down with this. He didn't have diarrhea when he was here luckily as I was busy with everything plus baby & my other kids.
She did WHAT? A pull up nappy on a 5 yr old so he can come to a party? So he'd be running round with a nappy full of shit?
Are you sure he still HAD it, or he'd HAD it maybe the day before, seemed clear that day but she was just making sure?
I just cannot believe that someone would do that. Quite apart from the potential to transmit the bug to all the other kids - how humiliating for the child if he DID have an accident - nappies do not hold diarrhoea very well. I speak from messy, messy experience.
No, I wouldn't be particularly impressed. She should have told you and asked whether you were happy for him to come. PArticularly if it is bad enough for him to need a nappy on!
A mum brought her child to dd birthday party & said he had diarrhea and she'd put a pull up type nappy on him (he's 5). He wanted to come to the birthday & was unhappy he wasn't well. She only told me as she was chatting & her ds had run off to join in.
Just hope my kids & the others invited don't get sick.
