That's about it really. Too late to go to shop.
Shall I just run the dishwasher on hot and hope it rinses most of the gunk off, or does anyone have any ideas about any cleaning product I could put in instead? (Wonders about a clothes wash tablet or soda crystals or a lemon?)

Do not use washing up liquid - it will be a disaster.
A lemon and a hot wash would be my advice ( or wash up by hand!)

salt - fill the tablet dispenser full and run as normal - will be fine for 1 or 2 washes as there is also residual detergent in the machine.

Wait until the morning then go to the shop.

Do you really need to run the load tonight? If you need anything before the shops open, wash it by hand.

One of our single male friends has never ever used dishwasher tablets. Just runs the dishwasher without.

Wash up BY HAND? Tsk, what an idea.

Actually had already done all the 'hand' washing up and stacked dishwasher before I noticed the lack of tablets. Don't want to start all over again and if I leave stuff in there overnight it will be dried on and manky by morning.

Will try a hot wash with a lemon to cut the grease.

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
