Morning Ladies,

I have both DS and DD1 sick again now, just as I thought DD1 was over it, she comes home from school yesterday and was sick She was so poorly she took herself to bed and missed supper.

It is such a bizarre bug! They are both absolutely fine (you should hear them jumping around the place now!) until just after lunch, when they zonk out, complain of a stomach ache, and spend the rest of the evening being sick and lying motionless on the sofa.
Has been going on since a week last Saturday for DD1!
All off school today for a doctors trip.

Must go into town too at some point, cheques to bank and I need to go to the student union office to get my tokens changed from the may ball....I have £18 worth to change before Friday. Its hastle, but £18 is £18!

Hello ladies - be kind to me.

Have just had huuuuuuuuuuuge domestic bill (don't want to say exactly what as have moaned to everyone I have met in RL and so would not be anon). But it is several thousands. Unexpected to say the least.

We severely ran down our savings for new windows and now this wipes out remainder and puts us in red.

DH is working but not earning anything (own business) and I cannot get job (dd3 not at school). Would struggle even to get evenign weekend work as DH works v late and commutes and even travels at weekend. Don't want to stop him in case it reduces business recovery.

Don't get me wrong, we wont be reposessed, but safety net is gone and no more coming in atm.

Fuckety fuck. Even have bloody wii fit arriving as is his birthday gift. Bugger.

Say nice reassuring things, please

FLYing through after wotk and on my way out.I have an hour t clean and eatsmile

Ruby- Our safety net has also gone (what little we had) and dps car is still in the garage as we haven't got the money to pay for the work that has been done. Ok. Sorry that isn't reassuring, that is me moaning....at least you kno you aren't alone
I'm trying my best not to stress and worry about it as I know that won't help and only makes me feel worse. Can you pay in installments or delay payingit for a bit? I did that with our last utilities bill and by the time the red bill came I had paid two thirds of it off.

IC - I am also going to do ashort list of jobs to do today....

get meat out of freezer for kids tea
make cake
make bed
wash up
ring dp
take photos of ds in his new nappysmile
put shopping away.

Ruby
God what a shock are you sure it isn't a mistake by the company? I live in fear of this happening, we only have a small buffer since I decided to be a SAHM and things just seem to be getting tighter and tighter. I am getting obsessed about saving as much as poss "just in case" and its doing DH head in sad

bathrooms now done
mission now done

currently eating lunch with DS (ham and cheese toasties) then its off for his nap and on on with the OU - I will need to do a PGCE dylsmum

making homemade fishcakes for tea

I think a trip around the house lookng for Ebay stuff to sell is also in order.

Hello all.
Ruby That's awful, what a horrible shock. I had to ring our water company last week as I realised they hadn't been taking our direct debit since we moved house. They're going to send us a bill but said we can pay in installments as it's likely to be quite large (we've lived here nearly 5 months now) Hate worrying about money - it's one of those things you can't do anything about but just makes you stressed all the time.

Had some friends over for coffee this morning which was lovely and have also managed some of my list!

Wash dishes Done
Feed DD Done
Get toys out for mums and DCs coming round this morning Done
Defrost something for tea Done
Clean fridge Done
Write shopping list

So, need to do shopping list and try to persuade DD to have a sleep. She's really tired as hardly slept yesterday and woke up 3 times in the night but is all over-tired and not settling. Also, now she can crawl she ends up in lots of weird positions in the cot and I think she wakes up and doesn't know where she is sad

No tis a genuine but unexpected repair. Just bad luck.

We are lucky I guess we don't need a loan to pay for it.

Bloomin wii fit just arrived. Can hardly look at it for guilt.

Oh Ruby - poor you. Can the Wii fit be returned if necessary? Talk it over with DH.

PC at home gone wobbly, so can only access at work. After peaking on mon with the hoovering, failed to do anything yesterday so need to dust and do bathroom tonight.

See yer tomorrow.

Cannot be returned - excluded from returns policy and tbh could prob sell for profit on ebay (bit mean though).

I am back - Sorry for any spellings in advance

Ruby I totally understand re not having a saftey net, we dont have one any more and it feels unnerving.

Anyway - I am OK, it wasnt a particulatly plenesnt experiance, but bowel and colon are a Ok. I didnt have the full sedation due to previous reaction to the medication, but I managed.

Tummy is strange, but it seems I was born like that. I have a extra large bi-lateral hernia disecting part of my tummy, which made the proceedure extreamly hard to do and also take 3 times as long as normal.

The consultant has taken some biopsiys of my duadenum to be on the safe side, but it all looks OK.

I am feeling tired, but OK. I am off for a bath and to put PJs on as I was sick in my hair.

Ruby I feel for you. Ask the domestic Bill provider if it is correct and if you could repay in installments, that way you could still have your small slush fund. What a bastard tho for you

Gem I'm a serial squirreller of cash myself. It's always me who gets looked at when there is a BIG BILL or a LARGE REQUIREMENT. The holiday is saved for already and I have a couple of slush funds for biggies. I'll be pleased if I get some regular part time work after the summer tho.

TMH Glad it went OK at the hospital for you, it's not nice (DF had it done a few years ago and refers to it as 'the instrument of death') Please take it steady and look after yourself now

Bit behind with the FLYing today. I went to see GM and GD. Things a bit tectchy. GF wont stop/constantly tinkers with stuff and GM basically has an 82 year old toddler to look
after and that's getting to her. GF has a form of dementia and sometimes the poor soul just looks....bewildered sad

Got home at 2, had to grab lunch then sort out a parcel delivery for DH (yeah, I'm exchequer and PA as well at Grouchy PLC) then collet Ed. Another glowing report from his teachers so grinEd wants me to stay with him in the office while he plays so at least I get MN time.

so TO DO

Vac downstairs
Mop downstairs
Empty DW
Put away
Water plants
Bring washing in
Organise it
Dust round front room
Make lunches for tomorrow
Sort clothes for tomorrow
Bathe Ed
Stories and school work.

I'll see if I can slip away and get cracking

Well done gem (what are you studying?).

Sounds like you have things in hand more Ruby. I worry about money too but as long as we aren't in debt (apart frommortgage) I try not to think about it. TBH I think most people with young kids are living quite close to the line these days.

TMH take care.

Grouchy Tis hard work when you are looking after elderly parents as well as a child (and a husband LOL). Your Ed sounds like he's had a good week though.

Still no dusting done. Have been playing with DCs. I find it difficult to get on with jobs in that after school period as DCs seem to need me quite a bit. I have found that if I try to do stuff, I end up getting frustrated (and shouty blush).
Will try later.

Hi all

Kids both have Gastroentiritis sad I have to now starve them for the next 24 hours sad (and that is easier said than done believe me! DS is climbing the walls!)

DH and I are waiting until they are in bed before we eat.....otherwise that would be very cruel!

I'm off for a run in a bit, haven't been all week so need to get some practice in.

Ruby poor you....that happened to us with our electric bill.....we ended up having a meter put in and then paid the debt off in insallments. We have absolutely no savings whatsoever to soften the blow. Its very annoying isn't it!

Bianca Where are you, I'm missing you. Hope you aren't working too hard.
I haven't had 2 seconds to get on facebook or MSN....but hopefully I will be able to catch up with you soon xxxxx

Oh and the plumber finally arrived this afternoon....so far so good, we have hot water!!!! Fingers crossed he has fixed it for good now.

Evening all

Done

kitchen floor swept
ds bathed
bathroom cleaned
bathroom floor mopped

ruby totally sympathise we are just in the middle of a similar experience following a huge electric and gas bill we now need unexpected major house repairs and have to lay out many thousands which we don't have. Our only cushion was in dp's share ISA which would have enabled us to pay about a third and we are borrowing rest from my parents as there is no way we would get a loan from the bank atm. Unfortunately when dp phoned up yesterday the isa has lost over 1000 in the last few months which leaves us just able to pay the third of the bill but with no safety net left at all and another debt to add to the mounting pile. It is incredibly stressful.
Count me in on the heist!

Hi Everyone

Just a quick one from me to night. (though it will take me some time to type this blush )

I was having a good day. I went to DS1 doctor for our weekly chat this morning.
Done a few little jobs this afternoon. I was feeling very good in myself.

Anyway to cut this down a bit. I had another fall late this afternoon. blush I was going down 4 steps into our garden (instead of going down the ramp bit made for me to use hmm) My legs just went to jelly and I fell down the last 2 steps, over some pot plants and end-up in a heap on the patio. I tried to use my hands to help stop me falling but my arms were as bad as my legs. Lucky mum sen it happen and ran out to me. I could not move, I felt like a rag doll.

I was taken to hospital in the van with blue lights (as DD said) checked over and had x-rays etc and some more blood taken for testing but all seemed to be fine so I was allowed to come home. I`m now in bed feeling very very sore and really p!$$ off and angrywith myself for being so stupid for doing something I know I should not have done.

I better go and get some rest. I` feeling very tired, but dont know if I can keep still enough to go to sleep. It hurt to move and I really ache if I stay still.

I`m really fed up with myself now. I`ll just useless

HN xx
