Morning

Morning routine done. I am running to the loo with the picolax, so I am not sure how much flying is going to get done today.

Need to sort childcare for tomorrow and lift vack from the hospital. DH has meetings all day and it looks like 1 can not be cancelled

Still cold and wet here sad oh inland is much nicer

Morning smile

Still sunny here but the wind is up today so quite chilly.

DS is still sick so he is at home again today. Girls have both gone to school and nursery.

Have the plumber comming today to look at the emersian heater AT LAST! We have now waited nearly 4 weeks to have it looked at....that is a long bloody time to go without hot water!
Have to clear the airing cupboard out ready and do just a general house tidy.

Morning all.
DD2 at pre-school/ Other 3 at school.
I AM going to sort the kitchen!!

WM is on. Am washing hats, gloves and winter coats ready to bag up and chuck in the loft for the summer.

Sunny but chilly wind here so far. Should warm up though.

TMH Don't think i would risk going out either. Hope it eases soon. Hope you sort childcare etc for tomorrow too.

Luda Hooray! How have you managed without hot water for so long? Hope DS is better soon.

I wouldn't go out either TMH. Picolax is very effectiveshock grin
I hope you get childcare for tomorrow sorted out. Will you have to go aloneif dh can't cancel his meeting?

I've been back at work with my sandwich selling friend this week, but am not sure it is going to be practical. I take ds, but he is such a climber /destructive child at times, I'm worried about the damage he is doing.....he dismantled her gas fireplacetodaysad She has two dds his age so in theory her place is childproof but in reality it obviously isn't my ds proof.
I'm going to try again tomorrow and decide then, as I could really do with the money.

Luda The cap on the first order sounds odd, I hope you manage to stay just under it, and keep that level of orders going.

RANT ALERT ~~~ RANT ALERT ~~~ RANT ALERT

What is it with people ATM!???

Its like sodding Eastenders here in the ludaloo neighbourhood!

DH was woken up Saturday morning, very early by our next door neighbour, who had come back from a night out. She was very drunk....let her dogs out for a bit and then was screaming at them to get them back in 10 mins later.

DH woke up that morning and went off to work, only to come bounding back in with a face on him.....there was the biggest pile of dog poo you have ever seen right outside our gate. (massive....if I didn't know better I'd have thought a bear had done it!)
Anyway....next doors dogs are huge dogs...and as DH had heard her let them out in the early hours, he guessed that it was probably her dogs who had done it, so he left a message on a piece of wood asking the owners to please pick it up and that it was irresponsible to leave it especially as small children play there.

Anyway, my next door neighbour then took offense and asked if the message was meant for her....she then said DH was being petty and should have picked it up if he was that bothered! So Dh had a row with her saying he wasn't accusing anyone, just that it was out of order for whoever let their dog do it and could they please clean it up.
She gave some stupid excuse that she knows it wasn't her dogs as they don't poo in a pile, they poo in a straight line!!! (WTF!!!)
Anyway....to save further arguements DH picked it up (YUK)
He was not happy!!!

Now just this morning, he caught the man across the road clearing the rubbish off the forecort of his garage (He owns a garage which backs onto our front grass)
and dropping it over the wall into our garden!!!!
He has been doing it for a while but we have never caught him doing it. Last week he dumped a load of polystyrene in our garden which the kids ripped up into a gazzillion bits!
So DH flew out the door and asked him to stop....and the man told him to f** Off! and it had nothing to do with him!
DH lost it and swore back, saying it has plenty to do with him as it is landing in our garden!!!

angry angry

What is it with the world!!!!!

Morning

TMH I'm having 'squeaky bum' in sympathy with you, why is there no dignity in hospitals when you're a mum?

Nuts I think we have something in common from what you said yesterday. If you want, you can mail me at duvetdwellers@ntlworld.com rather than clogging the thread up.

Hello and Grouchy Waves to ALL

I am wondering why I am the only person who can peel themselves off a mattress before 7:30 in this house angry I'm so pleased I have developed an organised bedtime routine or mornings would just be abject chaos (yeah, like it isn't already hmm) Finally caught up with my morning routines tho so the house can tick over

Been searching for DH's Birthday pressy (not til July but I like to be on top of things) But every local Argos is out of stock (grrh). It's a bargain there so I'll have to keep checking.

Have to pop to school this aft to do SEAL with Ed then single parent time as DH will be late home again tonight.

Ooops, prattling on again, sorry, I should be pottering and hotspot hunting

Big hugs to all

shock @ your neighbours. angry too!
GO Hope you manage to get DH's present. At least you do have someone coming home to you in the evenings. It is hard to manage alone isn't it?

Washing up is done. Loads more to do though. On a bit of a go slow a the moment. And keep eating. sad

Tort As I've said before, I deeply admire any single mum, it's very very hard work. I truely don't know how you do it.

Sometimes I do feel like I'm a single mum with 2 kids anyway (they have a 36 year age difference grin)

Luda I thought I had probs with my neighbours. The woman next door had a go at me down town last week and is maintaing the atmosphere. shock at yours though.

I have every admiration for single parents too.....sometimes I feel like I'm one too GO

My neighbours have really annoyed me.....dh is livid! He reckons that if he catches the man again he'll go and dump the contents of our wheelie bin in his front garden and as for her next door....we are both watching out for her dogs....her dog can only poo in a line indeed!!!!!!!! What kind of an excuse is that FGS!

Anyway....such is life!

House is reletively tidy, plumber will hopefully be here soon. I am just going to make a lasagna for tonights supper smile

Oh tort....we have had to light a fire every time we need hot water (so really we have actually had hot water but it is such a faff.....also in this heat, who wants a fire on! It makes the house unbearable)
Hopefully he'll fix it now today so we just flick a switch to heat the water, not have to light the fire all the time, it is rediculously hot at night... so we only light i when we absolutely have to have hot water.

Hello all, have been away for a while cos DH has had the past couple of weeks off. Lots of lovely family time smile However, house has degenerated into complete chaos so I need to get back on the fly wagon today. Routines are all to pot and there's just mess everywhere! Will post a list in an attempt to be organised:

To Do
Wash dishes
Have lunch
Clean kitchen floor
Vacuum lounge
Dust downstairs

A good start if I manage it all.. see you all later after I've achieved stuff.

Luda - your neighbours sound completely mad! Hope the plmber sorts things out
TMH - Picolax is v effective so you're a brave woman if you go anywhere after taking it!
Hello to everyone else grin

jas Yes to sort out the anemia. Doc wants to check bowel and tummy to see if any reason not absorbing it and also see why my bowel habits changed with children. Also increase risk of Bowel cancer with the BRACA gene spelling mistake, but that is very very unlikley indeed. But nice to be thorough

All the washing and pegged out.
Tided kitchen basket
Freash water for animals and food for Robbie
Made muffins

to do
Tidy my room
Lakeland order
tidy garden
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By intravenouscoffee on Tue 13-May-08 14:02:11
Glad to seemy list is proving popular wink
Managed to persuade DD to go back to sleep so have achieved:

Wash dishes Done
Have lunch Done
Clean kitchen floor Done
Vacuum lounge
Dust downstairs Done
S and S bathroom Done (not done this morning blush)

Will leave vacuuming till DD wakes up. Might try to tackle the mission. Need to get some more washing powder so the towel washing bit is on hold but I could give the floor a mop.
Right, will go and do more while I feel motivated. Don't know why I get in such a flap about it, once I actually start doing stuff it doesn't take that long. Procrastination should be an olympic sport - I could get medals!

Best of luck tomorrow TMH

Welcome back Gem*

No Muppet, not even Oscar the Grouch (oh, that's me blush) would behave like those anti social numpties

Had to panic buy some new school shoes for Ed this afternoon, he's managed to trash the piping on the front of his Clarks shock. Did a bit of urgent shopping, home, made lunches for tomorrow, clothes ready for morning Made tea (my meatballs disintergrfated sad) Load and run DW, close up and to bed.

Ed's fretting about Bob, the stuffed Bunny the kids in his class take home and they write about. Last time he came he had striped shorts, today, no shorts and Ed is sure he has lost them in Tesco. I don't think the bunny had bottoms this time but Ed is worried poor lamb)

DH is late again tonight but I have negotiated for him to take Ed to school in the morning. I'm going to see my Grandparents as DGF (82) got out of hospital on Sunday.

Ed's just conked out with a mass of teddies and Bob. I'm not far behind TBH

Evening All

I have had a quick look through the thread.

I have added your email address to my contacts GO I`ll send you a quick email in a mo so you have my email address.

TMH I had to Google 'picolax' I can see why you said what you said about going to the loo. I hope you have been drinking loads of water! I hope tomorrow goes ok.

Luda It sounds like you have some neighbours from hell. As for the dog poop It is law that the owner of the dog to pickup the poop and dispose of it in the right manner. The next door neighbour knew it was her dog that done it or she would not have said it was not her dogs. Your DH never named names so what would make her think it was her ?? She much have seen her dogs do piles of poops just like the one your DH put the sign next to maybe <<HN walks away looking at the sky>>

Tort Your DD1 was just like DS2 was tonight. I went with mum to get him from school. I went in my wheelchair as I have not been too great on my legs today but I wanted to get out for a while. Because I would not let him ride home with me he went off on one. Anyone watching would think I had just told him he I was going to take all the good things away from him and was never going to give them back.As it was I had his bags so he did not have to carry them. Hes been in a strop the rest of the night. He went to bed in still in a strop.

I have been out in the garden most of the day. I had the ironing out with me so I did that sat down. It went cloudy at around 10am so the curtains did not get washed today. Its been a lazy day for me really. I wish I could do more

I put a sleeved top on just before tea as I was getting cold so did not notice my arms until I had a shower after DC were in bed. They are looking very red and my neck is as well.It has not been that sunny here today but it was a little windy. I suppose the little bit of sun we did have and the wind burnt me. And I CANT find the after sun cream hmm They not really burning (Yet) but they do feel very warm.blush I put suncream on DS2 and DD before they went to school/preschool so they would not get brunt when they went out. I should have done me as well.

I`m going to now email GO and then try and get some sleep.

See you all tomorrow.

Night night

HN xx

goodnight all, some of my planned evening jobs done but not all. I have been too busy restraining myself from throttling dp, sometimes he can be a really inconsiderate f*cker. If I'd done the ironing like I'd planned he may well have found himself with an iron shaped imprint in his head.

see you tomorrow
