It has new leaf growth but the stem is dried and dead after serious non-watering. Is there anything Ican do.

PS this isn't a euphemism for my love life!

If you've got new leaf growth it should be fine. Cut off the dried stem (that used to have the flowers on). Put the plant in a slightly colder/darker place & water occasionally, you should get a new shoot within a few months. They generally only flower once a year (twice if you're really lucky) so for most of the time they don't look particularly decorative!

And let the roots be out in the light. Mines going great guns now. Al previous versions dies because I put them in nice ceramic post holders.

Thank you both. Much appreciated - will try the root thing too!

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
