We are going to a wedding tomorrow

but i have had a horrid cough and cold for 2 weeks, so have lovely, flaky, red nostrils

in addition, my skin is looking very uneven and congested and just ick

i look tired

what can i do to look perkier by tomorrow?

is it worth doing a face mask or will that just make me spotty?

TIA

Get some skinsure from Asda and cover nostrils - tis magical and will work in 24 hours. If you cannot get it, get blistex.

Give good scrub with flannel and do lots of grooming.

Oh god no, not self tan! If you're like me, you'll go streaky and orange wink.

A good exfoliate to get your skin going, some good foundation or tinted moisturiser tomorrow, and LIGHT on the makeup - less is more. Do you ahev a white eye pencil? If you line the inner rim of your eyelids, it really makes your eyes look more awake - also some white/cream eyeshadow on the inner corners is good.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm is fab as well.

manicure and haircut. A proper blow dry will also look fabulous.

Before you put your make-up on - set aside 1/2hr (or whatever you can manage). Wet two teabags (doesn't matter what brand just needs to be black tea) with cold water and place them on your eyes while you have a lie down. Even after 5 mins they'll be sparkling - the puffiness will go and they'll feel great.

littlelapin - white pencil will make the eyes look bigger - a light green correction pencil will do the same and banish red rims

For the red chafed nose - use concealer under your foundation.

Bottom line - enjoy the day - everyone will be looking at the bride and the bridesmaids anyway and after a few celebratory drinks no-one will even notice a red nose if it peeps through the make-up grin

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]].
