I have a thread here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/2440/530804?ts=1210857248143&msgid=10806387 which I started this morning

yes I am a regular but if you think I am offering myself up for you lot to laugh at you are very much mistaken

this is a very difficult time for me and I would appreciate your support otherwise I may have to go to the old lady shop and buy myself a floorlength nightie

I am an elderly lady you know and my stomach is horrific to look at also I am not made of money

the La Senza nightie is not a bad idea

Saw your thread, think it was a good idea to start one here.

Will be watching with interest because would like to do something similar (although am not quite so ancient wink

do you think MrsBadger? now it is nice and I know you have very good taste. I could buy it some suspenders couldn't I?

I have quite broad shoulders though as well as being elderly - I wouldn't look ridiculous in it would I? like a mad old Gladiator shoved into a girl's dress?

OW
Dh bought me this frost french lingerie for my birthday.
It fits really well, it's well made, those suspender things come off and it's cheap!!!!!
Definitely recommended
(btw am quite old, dh is very old and I'm a 14) grin

There's a similar one on the lasenza site with suspenders

So which ones did you go for?

They deliver to France but it's £7.95 shock

Might wait til you get yours and you can report back ?

with pleasure haventslept, especially since you found me them

this is all very well but the frill at the bottom make me look ridiculous, it sticks out like a cake frill

this is lovely but I fear that the boning will do me an injury - however slight - if things get active

this it is the one I will keep I think

oh and the service was fantastic - I rang up because I had ordered at about 4pm and for next day delivery you had to order before 12 - the woman rushed the package through for me and it was at the door at 8.30am

Wow great service - can't believe you have them already !

Actually the last one you decided to keep I think is the one originally suggested by a poster on the other thread - didn't you reject it because no suspenders??

It is very nice anyway.

Good to hear your feedback on the others - hadn't thought about the boning thing - you're probably right.

Am tempted by something now. Will let you know.

Now of course WE all want to know DH's reaction - when is his birthday?

What's the sizing like?

And the material? I usually only wear cotton so am a bit suspicious of scratchy lacy stuff.

Would be really interested to find out about quality of these outfits. I posted thread last week looking for lovely undies as am soon having long awaited weekend away with DH and trying to prepare well in advance. Ended up buying some nice stuff from figleaves - not overtly sexy though. Nice but dull!! This stuff is really what I was thinking of but again just interested in quality and sizing - I am of ample bosoms!! I am obviously also rubbish at looking at websites because I remember looking at la senza and definitely didn't find any of this. Would be interested to hear your reply. Oh yes and as you can see by my name I am also over 21 (I am not even 40 I am another 3 on top of that but can't face reality - are these oufits too young for an old bag like me!!

well the fabric doesn't feel like wonderful silky luxuriance, but it is only £25 after all, it certainly doesn't feel tacky and the fit is really nice. As for sizing - I'm a 12-14, and for the nightie I should really have gone up to 14 but it is okay, just me worrying about clinginess which I don't think is really a worry at all! I really like it - it covers my belly which is really good coz I hate that bit. I didn't like the basques so much because your backside was on show which I'm also not keen on. you get a thong with them but you could buy bigger briefs to match

I have quite small/ average norks though, and it fits well - I know that some of the measurements are in bra sizes which would perhaps be better for someone with bigger ones

and of course you can always send it back, which is much less embarrassing with undies rather than going into a shop!

oh oldlady yes I am 40 too and I don't feel too old for them - and believe me, I feel bloody old!
