Apologies for the bleating

BUT

Am trying to go away on holiday and thought I would treat myself to a few last-minute on-line clothing orders.

The Boden sale is now on and the sizes I want are sold out.

Same with Bravissimo swimsuits.

We are only half way through May.

I haven't been on holiday for a number of years so I'm out of touch. Please tell me (so I don't make the same mistake next year) do you all order your clothing for the summer in January and February???

Wringing out handkerchief emoticon ....

I think this year is unusual because the weather is suddenly so good so everyone is ordering early. If we were having a wet May you would probably be fine to buy now.

That doesn't really help you I know. Can to get out to some high street shops? You might have better luck there.

I bought loads of summer clothes in Sept/Oct last year because we were going to the in-laws in Malaysia for Christmas. There was loads on offer because the summer had been so dreadful.

Thanks Bran. I'm off down the shopping centre and fingers crossed I can pick up a few items there ... should have been much more organised I know ...

... Just to verify out of interest - do Boden and Bravissimo normally have sales mid-May as a matter of course or are they held when stocks are low owing to early hot weather?

I'm not sure, I'm not a Boden person and I buy my bras from Ample Bosom.

Oh that's a great link Bran - thanks - hadn't heard of them before ....

I may not have to wear a hessian sack on the beach after all .....

Oh no - now looking for t-shirts and vests and summer trews - same situation with Lands End and Long Tall Sally

everyone's sold out of my size

visited a rl shop just now and they only seemed to stock one item of each size (which was why I was shopping online in the first place)

gggggggggrrrrrrrrrr

are you all super-organised fashionistas who buy your winter coats at end of August and your bikinis in January?

am I the only person finding it difficult to find holiday clothes for this summer?

Have you looked at American Apparel for t-shirts?

Oh Bran - you've saved my bacon again - thank you!!

Didn't know about that site either ... (old, greying out-of-touch baglady emoticon) the Morrocan rib t-shirt is exactly what I was after....

I did stumble across this site as well but haven't decided about colours:

Your welcome. smile I've never managed to buy anything from American Apparel myself, there's so much that I get a sort of cotton-jersey snow blindness and can't decide what it is that I'm looking for. grin

That should have been 'you're welcome' obviously. Please, please don't tell the pedants, or they'll laugh me off their threads. wink

I know what you mean about too much choice .. came over all funny trying to buy shampoo the other day fgs ...so many different varieties I came to a complete mental and physical stand-still in front of shelving ... left with toothpaste instead ...

Thnks SilentTerror ...

Maybe it is because of the weather then.

I've just been surprised by how little stock there is available in popular sizes ...
